1. Dedicated Servers without Setup Fee

2. Traffic Price Reduced
Traffic price from 1 December 2014 permanently reduced
Hetzner Online has reduced the price for exceeding the traffic limit on dedicated root servers, vServers, managed servers, colocation and colocation racks permanently from 1,99 euros to 1,39 euros per TB!
The price applies to traffic usage from 1 December 2014.
Price incl. 19% VAT.
3. New Top Level Domains
More new top level domains to order!
Further interesting top level domains (TLDs) can now be ordered via the Hetzner Online konsoleH administration interface. The following new domains are available:

4. New Images
New images: openSUSE 13.2 and CentOS 6.6
The new 64-bit version of the openSUSE 13.2 «Harlequin» minimal image is now ready for installation.
One of the main changes with openSUSE 13.2 is the new simplified installer which is available as VNC installation. For the first time, Btrfs is the default file system used. Images installed via the Robot come with ext4. If you would like to use Btrfs together with the standard image, you have the option of performing an installation with the necessary adjustment via Installimage in the Rescue System.

Similarly, the CentOS image has been updated to version 6.6 and is ready for installation.
5. konsoleH: TYPO3 Upgrade
konsoleH: TYPO3 6.2 LTS upgrade
A new TYPO3 6.2 LTS upgrade is now available in the konsoleH administration interface. To upgrade to the new version, simply select menu item «Domain Extras; TYPO3; Upgrade». The CMS developers offer at least three years of support in the current LTS (long term support) release.

6. konsoleH: phpMyAdmin
konsoleH: phpMyAdmin now in version 4.2
The version of phpMyAdmin in your konsoleH administration interface for managing your web account or managed server has been upgraded to 4.2.
The new version offers a revised and modernised user interface allowing for a better and more convenient administration of your databases and spreadsheets. Security relevant updates and improvements have also been carried out.
7. CMS Security Vulnerability
Recently discovered security vulnerability jeopardizes Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal
As reported in the media, a security vulnerability has been discovered which is caused by CryptoPHP malware. CryptoPHP is a PHP based backdoor with which attackers can infiltrate content management systems such as Joomla, Wordpress or Drupal, thereby taking over control of the affected systems.
We should like to stress that it is extremely important for all clients to keep the software used up to date and to only install additional software such as plugins from reliable sources.

8. Did you know?
Contact data for subnet registration is now optional
The Robot administration interface now provides you with the option of setting either your contact data or Hetzner Online contact data for registering subnets with RIPE.
The configuration can be found at «Main Functions, Settings; RIPE Handles». Hetzner Online contact data is the default setting for all new clients.
