Today, we're introducing two new types of Workload Intensive Cloud Servers completing our cloud server lineup:

• 6 Xeon Cores with 15GB of RAM and 200GB of SSD for €24.99 per month
• 8 Xeon Cores with 30GB of RAM and 400GB of SSD for €49.99 per month

Our Workload Intensive Cloud Servers now include variants with 15GB and 30GB of RAM starting at €24.99 per month:


These new server variants provide a viable alternative to our C2L server with increased per core performances, thanks to powerful Intel Xeon SoCs and DDR4 ECC memory.

As all our cloud servers, they benefit from unlimited transfer and you're billed by the hour up to a monthly cap of 500 hours.

With cloud servers ranging from 2GB to 120GB, you're now able to smoothly grow your projects with Scaleway.

Our Workload Intensive cloud servers are currently in preview in Paris. We should reach general availability in both Amsterdam and Paris in early March as planned.

Netherlands presence allows us to offer our disruptive BareMetal and Starter cloud servers with ultra-low latency to north and central European customers. Amsterdam offers great connectivity options and we're directly connected to AMS-IX.

You can start a 2GB cloud server in Amsterdam for €2.99/mo or get up to 32GB for €23.99/mo including unlimited transfer. As always, you'll be billed by the hour, try it!

Terraform is a cloud agnostic automation tool to safely and efficiently manage your infrastructure as the configuration evolves. Terraform comes with Scaleway support since >= v0.7.0 which makes it a great tool to version and continuously develop your Scaleway infrastructure with ease.

In this blog post I show Terraform new capabilities by setting up a small Web App using Consul, Nomad and Fabio.

• Consul is a tool for service discovery and configuration. Consul is distributed, highly available, and extremely scalable.
• Nomad is a distributed scheduler which allows to run arbitrary tasks, ensures that services are always running and takes care of dynamic re-allocation if instances are unavailable.
• fabio is a fast, modern, zero-conf load balancing HTTP router for deploying applications managed by consul.

This week, we discussed how to enhance our communication tools globally at Online, the parent company of Scaleway. Our goal is to improve the way we interact with you.

It is often hard for our clients to understand the differences and similarities between Online, Iliad Datacenter and Scaleway as we have multiple tools to interact with our respective communities.

Online, as a company, is the 3rd largest hosting company in Europe and a major actor on the hosting market for more than 10 years. We offer a wide range of products under different brands we've introduced over time:

• Iliad Datacenter, our Data Centers, since 1999
• BookMyName, our domain name registrar, since 2000
• Dedibox, the famous rock solid dedicated servers, since 2005
• Scaleway, the most trending cloud platform on earth, since 2015
• C14, the most affordable cold cloud storage solution on the market, for 6 days

We believe we now need to unify some communication tools to share the news about all of these products with you. We've seen our users have great interest for all our announcements, the technical challenges we face and companies insights.

Today, we're gathering our blog and community channels. Our new communication tools will now look as follow:

• The Scaleway blog is still available via blog.scaleway.com. All brands of Online will get a section on blog.online.net.
• The Scaleway community platform will be updated pretty soon to welcome new categories for Online, Iliad Datacenter. You will be able to access the community platform via community.online.net. We will progressively discontinue the old Online forum.
• Twitter accounts for Online and Scaleway do not change. You can reach us @online fr (french) and @online en (english) for Online products and @scaleway for Scaleway cloud services.
• The status page stays unchanged and is available at status.online.net.

We're glad to announce the general availability of the C2 servers. We will reach a production of 10 000 BareMetal servers per month in july thanks to the ramp up of the C2 production.

Cloud computing is an amazing technology which should be backed by BareMetal servers. Today, we're moving a step forward in this direction.

The pricing stays the same as during the preview, with the C2S starting at €11.99 a month.
All C2 limits have been upgraded to the new standard quota for C2 servers. If you wish to deploy 100s, 1000s or even more C2 servers, let us know, we will increase your limits!

CentOS General Availability
We've been working with the CentOS community to support CentOS on arm since several month and we're proud to announce that we're now able to provide CentOS on both ARM and x86!

The C2 is now available in mass production with the same insane pricing as during the preview.

We're glad to announce that after seven month of growth throttling, you can now directly signup to the Scaleway platform! You won't wait anymore to try our BareMetal offering, you can signup now!

We've been working to increase our production speed and we are now able to produce over 360 physical servers per day. In june, we will produce over 8 000 C2s to meet the huge demand we have. We plan to ramp up the production to more than 10 000 C2 per month in july.
